About Me

I'm interested in a lot of things.  I'm fascinated by the hidden, the subtle, the complex.  I have an education in new media art and I'm a software developer.  I'm excited about the future and the potential for technology and new ideas to transform the human experience.

Things I contribute to

Things I have been part of

  • City Centered Festival, June 11th to 13th, San Francisco, USA. I presented the second iteration of The Wireless Landscape for this event. This gave me a chance to discuss and educate about WiFi with some of the neighborhood support organizations of the Tenderloin. Event website: http://citycentered.org/
  • Liminal Screen, March 2009, The Banff Centre, Alberta, Canada.  Liminal Screen is an annual artist residency at the Banff Centre with a focus on video works.  I was the technical line producer for this residency. In this position I worked with artists to realize their concept goals by providing technical assistance where necessary.  Because of the video context, most of my time was spent coaching artists in the use of the Max/MSP/Jitter programming environment. Some time was also spent building custom Max Patches for specific use.  Website: http://www.banffcentre.ca/programs/program.aspx?id=728
  • "Almost Perfect", November 2008, The Banff Centre, Alberta, Canada.  The "Almost Perfect" residency is a month-long annual residency at the Banff Centre. The focus of the residency is locative media and a discussion of location based technology.  As an attendee of the residency, I used the time to work on my Scale and Distance project.
